Instrinsically Safe Ultrasonic Tester


Intrinsically Safe Ultrasonic Tester featuring CorDEX CONNECT™ software. The UT5000 has been tested for ATEX and IECEx, Zone 1 IIC T4 hazardous (explosive) areas. The UT5000 is rugged, durable and has been designed for harsh and demanding environments. Incorporating RFID technology, the UT5000 is the perfect instrument for Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) and predictive maintenance on pipelines in hazardous and non-hazardous areas.

UT5000 is a next-generation tester packed with proven technologies: CorDEX CONNECT uses RFID + Software to tag measurements with their location then organizes the data, giving the engineer a view of the pipeline
at any specific location; the unique corrosion mode option helps identify spots of thinning; MultiECHO™ technology improves accuracy on uneven
surfaces; onboard memory stores up to 1000 readings.

Designed for rugged environments, the overmoulded body protects a 3.1 inch colour screen and has easy-to-feel raised buttons. The dual-element, 4MHz transducer is adjustable up to 10Hz with accuracy of +/- 0.05mm.

 NEW: Frequency Monitoring

The new frequency monitoring relay G2FW400VL20 24-240V AC/DC monitors the supply frequency of sensitive applications.
This first frequency monitoring relay from TELE can be used in both 50 and 60 Hertz networks, setting its limits according to the network conditions.

And, furthermore, the frequency monitor can operate with a test voltage ranging between 110 v and 400 V.

Frequency Monitoring
If you need to monitor the supply frequency of sensitive equipment then TELE now has a new frequency monitoring relay G2FW400VL20 24-240V AC/DC in it’s portfolio. It can be used in both the 50 and 60 Hertz network with a voltage range of 110 v to 400 V. The frequency can be accurately adjusted between 40 and 70 Hertz using rotary switches. If these predefined frequency limits are either not reached or are exceeded, both output relays will be switched off immediately. An in built, configurable, switch on delay makes sure that the machinery or equipment downstream is only started when the frequency is stable. Similarly, a programmable ‘switch off delay’ prevents immediate shutdowns due to brief frequency fluctuations. The TELE frequency relay can be used to monitor frequency, the rotational speed of generators or auxiliary power supplies , as well as other applications.

CorFEX Instruments is pleased to announce the LaserMETER , an explosion-proof laser distance meter which allows professionals within the Petrochemical, Gas and Mining industries to take mesurements in hazardous (vapour) areas  safely and efficiently.

February 21 2011, The LaserMETER 3000XP, is the first distance laser meter to achieve CSA/US certification from CSA International, a leading product testing and certification organization, for use in Class I Division 1 Groups B, C and D hazardous (explosive) areas. It adds to the meter’s existing certifications, ATEX and IECEx Zone 1 IIC T4.

 The major benefits are:

Safety - LaserMETER 3000XP is certified for ATEX and IECEx Zone 1 IIC T4 .This allows professional workers to safely take measurements without the need for hot work permits.

Orbit Communications Pty Ltd Launches their New BodyGuard proximity alert and collision avoidance system.

The BodyGuard Proximity Alert system provides a cost effective solution for industrial collision avoidance solution for applications that involve moving Machinery, Heavy Vehicles and Forklifts, Utility Vehicles and/or personnel.

Applications: Warehouse Safety, Doorways and Pedestrian Access, Open Cut Mines, Outdoor Heavy Machinery/Vehicle avoidance.


BodyGuard provides continuous detection and notification of proximity between moving objects and other moving or fixed objects.

BodyGuard works by setting up an invisible shield around the object being protected. BodyGuard uses a specially coded digital radio transmission between system components. Whenever this invisible field is penetrated by another object that is fitted with a BodyGuard unit, an alarm is activated to warn the driver/operator to pay attention.

The BodyGuard proximity alarm system can be used to protect people, vehicles and property and has wide ranging applications that involve personnel, forklifts, cranes, heavy Vehicles, moving machinery etc.

The BodyGuard proximity alarm system is user-configurable. The user can set the desired protection zone range around each object as required for the application.

The BodyGuard system will detect objects right through smoke, fog, or dust. It is immune to interference by heat, sound or dust.

BodyGuard Components Include:

Personnel Tags  This Tag is worn by your personnel or site visitors. The device can be attached to a hard Hat or worn on the belt. This is a transmit-only device that is detected by other BodyGuard Devices

Sensor / Vehicle Unit  Transmits a digitally coded radio signal that other units can detect as well as receives and process coded signals from other Sensor or Tag units. Fitted to moving vehicles such as forklift, utility vehicles, road trucks, the unit detects other BodyGuard devices as well as transmits signals that can be detected by other BodyGuard Devices.

Control Unit This unit enables multiple sensors to be fitted to a vehicle, provides logging of all proximity notifications from the Sensor Units on the Vehicles and enables remote setup using a PDA or Laptop Computer.

Fixed Unit These units are typically installed around work areas, door ways and pedestrian access ways.

Beacon Unit A battery powered unit that transmits only. This is a moveable device that is useful for protecting your temporary hazardous zones and keep out areas.
